Welcome to my world

Our Tenor is Bill Quaglia

Bill has been singing a-Cappella harmony in the Barbershop style for a total of 15 years and  sang in one quartet, the “Continental Chord Company,” for 5 consecutive years.  Bill began singing in Catholic parochial grade school under the tutelage of a nun who left a singing career to join the “cloth.”  He sang in the Simi Valley College choir when attending the college in 1978.  Bill has sung in various church choirs during his adult life in Oxnard, Ca; Albuquerque, NM; and Guam, USA.  Bill is also a member of the Sacramento Capitolaires and lives in Natomas with his wife Nancy.

Our Lead is Al Treadway

Al has been singing in choirs and chorus' since 8th grade. He comes from a musical family, his grandfather sang in Vaudeville. Al has pictures of his grandfather doing his famous Al Jolson imitation and his parents on stage singing as well.  Al sang in the high school choir all four years starting out as a bass ( the teacher didn't have a clue) then spent the next 30 years singing tenor. He joined a folk group in college, and later sang in another folk group called 'The Road', even spending some time in the recording studio.  A few years later Al along with his friend Dave Mauck, one of the members of The Road  started a gospel quartet called Orion. Al sang tenor and Dave sang lead, they were together as a quartet for close to 20 years. Al started singing barbershop in February of '06 and has not looked back. He sings with two barbershop choruses, the Sacramento Capitolaires and the Folsom Harmony Express. He also sings in a  barbershop comedy quartet called Familiar Faces. Al lives in Galt, CA with his lovely wife Pat, their English mastiff - Humphrey and several thousand angel fish!  (ask him about this one)

Our Bari is Mark Coldiron

Mark has been singing and directing music since he was a toddler who could stand on the pew in church and attempt to lead the congregation in song. He taught himself piano while in elementary school and sang in church choirs his whole life. In college he minored in Music studying voice and piano. As an adult Mark has directed church choirs and sang with the Sacramento Symphony Chorus for about 8 years. Most recently he served as choir accompanist for 6 years at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Granite Bay and also formed a men's quartet called The Shepherd's Sons which was together for 6 years. Mark is also involved in community theatre as an actor, accompanist and music director. Last Christmas (2006), Mark discovered the joy of Barbershop singing and joined the Sacramento Capitolaires, now serving as an assistant director for the chorus. He stays quite busy with that while at the same time singing in two quartets, Illusion and The River Tones.  Mark lives in Roseville with his wife Pat.

Our Bass is Tom Reaves

Tom is a retired Biology, Chemistry, & Natural Science teacher, having taught for 35 years here in the Sacramento area.  Tom also drove truck for a while which he says was a very enjoyable time in his life and also taught skiing for a living.  When you see Tom he almost always has his camera with him taking pictures and is good enough with it to have sold a few pieces.  Tom has been singing barbershop for 23 years and like Al sings with The Capitolaires and The Harmony Express.  He is married to Merry, has one daughter and is devoted to them both.
